The Miss DC Organization is thrilled to collaborate with businesses that can directly support the Miss District of Columbia Scholarship Foundation, a component fund of the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
The mission of the Miss District of Columbia Scholarship Organization is to empower candidates to pursue their personal, professional, and educational aspirations. While the primary focus of the Miss DC Scholarship Organization is to raise and award scholarships, the DC Scholarship Pageant also offers young women in the District of Columbia invaluable opportunities for growth and achievement.
The Miss DC Scholarship Program is a tax-exempt organization established under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, making donations to the Miss DC Scholarship Program tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. No goods or services were exchanged for this gift. The Miss DC Scholarship Program retains the authority to utilize contributions at its discretion for purposes aligned with its exempt mission. However, please note that the Miss DC Scholarship Program’s status as a 501(c)(3) organization is pending approval from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). If the IRS denies the tax-exempt status, contributions to the Miss DC Scholarship Program will not be tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. The Miss DC Scholarship Program will promptly notify contributors regarding any updates on its tax-exempt status.
