Compete for Miss District of Columbia
The Miss DC Competition is a preliminary competition whose purpose is to select the young women (Miss DC & Miss DC’s Outstanding Teen) who will represent the District of Columbia in the upcoming Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competitions. The Miss America program distinguishes itself by emphasizing education, talent, and the performing arts.

The five points of the Miss America crown represent key values of the Miss America Organization: Style, Service, Scholarship, Success, and Sisterhood. These points are the pillars upon which the Miss America Opportunity is built, guiding the organization's mission and the titleholders' work
Service:This point emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community and making a difference through volunteer work and advocacy.
Scholarship:The Miss America Organization is committed to providing educational opportunities for women, offering significant scholarship money to the winner and other contestants.
Style:This point encourages Miss America titleholders to express their individuality and confidence through their personal style and presentation.
Success:The Miss America Opportunity is designed to help young women achieve their goals, both personally and professionally, and inspire others to do the same.
Sisterhood:This point highlights the strong bonds of sisterhood and support among Miss America contestants and titleholders, creating a network of lifelong friendships.
