Lisa Spies is the President of The LS Group, Inc. a political and non-profit fundraising and development firm - she has lived in Washington, DC for over 25 years. She is former board member of the Miss DC Program and can often be found traveling the country to attend Miss America events. Her husband, Charlie and their cat Teddy currently reside in the Georgetown area – and one of their favorite things to do in the district is take their boat out on the Potomac to view the monuments of this great city.
Mrs. Spies is a graduate of the University of Kansas as well as the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Teri Galvez and her husband are currently developers of La Fuente, colonial-style luxury vacation homes in the Historic town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. She previously served as President of Paradigm Event Management, a Marketing, Special Events, and Conference Planning Company which she launched in 1996. Among her clients were Fortune 500 Companies, Non-profits, and National Associations.
In 1983 Teri was the beneficiary of a scholarship from the Miss California/Miss America Organization. She felt it important to volunteer and help other young women to prepare for great careers and to reach their goals. Teri served as Executive Director of the Miss District of Columbia Scholarship Organization for 10 years and continues to support them by serving on the Board of Directors. She is currently involved with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Cherry Blossom Princess Program, The Latino Student Fund, and she serves on the Board of Directors of Gala Theatre.
Teri currently splits her time between San Miguel de Allende and Dallas and visits Washington DC often due to her philanthropic work.
Chloe has been involved with the Miss America Organization for as long as she can remember. From clinging to her mother’s leg as she directed production to eventually running dress rehearsals herself, Chloe has always loved giving back to the organization that has given so much to her family. Her mother, Dana Dalton Judge—Miss Florida 1990 and a preliminary swimsuit winner at the Miss America Pageant—taught her the importance of service and scholarship at an early age. For over a decade, Chloe has volunteered with the Miss Florida Organization and she served as Executive Director of the Miss University of Florida pageant while in college. A proud graduate of the University of Florida, Chloe now works in politics. She credits the pageant world—and the incredible, accomplished women who mentored her—with instilling the drive, confidence, and communication skills that fuel her today.
Anna Kelly is a political communicator, rescue dog “mom,” and fourth-generation DC resident. Anna has been involved with the Miss America Opportunity for 20 years, including two years as a Miss DC contestant, placing first runner-up in 2024. The skills she obtained through the program have been critical to her professional development, including her current role as Deputy Press Secretary at the White House. She was formerly Communications Director for a Wisconsin gubernatorial campaign, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), and the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Anna holds a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management from George Washington University and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Auburn University.
Jim Lindsay has spent the last 39 years in senior management positions in faith-based nonprofit organizations. Originally from Philadelphia, he has lived in the Washington, DC area for the last 45 years. He is a graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia and earned his master's degree in theology from The Catholic University of America in DC. Jim has judged multiple local and state MAO competitions throughout the U.S. both at the Teen and Miss levels. He has served as an MAO volunteer for 32 years and has been an active member of the Miss District of Columbia Scholarship Organization since 1998, serving as their judges’ chair for the last eleven years. Jim spends a great deal of time each year recruiting Miss DC contestants, primarily from the eight universities in DC. He also is considered an unofficial historian for the Miss DC Organization, having researched and tracked down photos/stories of every Miss DC dating back to 1921 when Margaret Gorman of DC became the first Miss America. His search led to a March 2013 article in The Washington Post. Jim is a cantor for his local church and serves as a member of their Board of Directors. His hobbies include reading historical novels and watching Jeopardy. He recently retired and is writing a book about his life. Jim has resided in Silver Spring, MD, a DC suburb, since 1997.

Kate Michael is a Writer, Model, On-Camera Host and Producer. Kate started DC's longest-running online lifestyle website, K Street Magazine, while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America. Currently, Kate also works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Carolina Herrera, and Oscar de la Renta. She is also a travel insider and editor for Pursuitist, a producer at C-SPAN and American History TV, has frequent bylines on The Well News, and showcases tech products on QVC and BestBuy.com
Teresa Davis Morgenstern is the Co-Owner of Win The Future Strategies, a boutique political consulting firm she runs with her husband. Win The Future Strategies provides communications, government affairs, operational support, image consultations, and strategic advisory services for small to mid-size businesses, non-profits, and political campaigns.
Teresa served as a Senior White House Communications Advisor for Operation Warp Speed and the White House Coronavirus Task Force, where she developed and executed messaging strategies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the historic rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines. Prior to this role, she was the Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary, where she supported the Secretary of Defense handling media affairs and communications strategy on a broad range of priorities, including force resilience for the nation’s largest employer during the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of the military in responding to civil unrest, U.S. force posture in EUCOM, and the National Defense Strategy.
She joined the Trump Administration in 2018 serving in roles at the U.S. Department of Commerce as Deputy Director of Protocol, and as Special Assistant the Assistant Secretary for Education and Cultural Affairs at the State Department. She has traveled extensively on behalf of the United States government and has represented the United States at several international conferences including the UN General Assembly, ASEAN, and WEF. She began her career on Capitol Hill, working for a senior Member of Congress. Additionally, Teresa was Miss District of Columbia 2014 and subsequently competed at the Miss America Pageant that year, earning more than $10,000 in scholarship money from the program. Teresa dedicated her year of service to military families, working and volunteering with various military support organizations including the USO and Blue Star Families.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, she holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a B.A. in Spanish. She currently lives in Alexandra, Virginia, with her husband, her cat, and her dog. They are expecting their first child in April.
Stephanie is the Vice President of Public Affairs for the Plastics Industry Association, which represents the entire plastics supply chain, and nearly one million workers in the $518 billion U.S. Plastics Industry.
Stephanie Strategos Polis has over two decades of strategic communications, government, and public affairs experience within the private sector in the not-for-profit arena and at both the state and federal levels of government. Steph has worked on Capitol Hill as the Public Affairs Liaison for the U.S. Congressional Budget Committee, as a Presidential Appointee at the United States Department of Labor as public liaison for the Office of the Secretary, Director of Federal Affairs for the United States Chamber of Commerce and as a fundraiser both in the public affairs and not-for-profit sectors. More recently, she served as the Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs at the
American Property Casualty Insurance Association, working to progress industry strategic communications efforts, advocacy campaigns, earned and paid media strategy, consumer education and positioning and reputation initiatives. Prior, Steph oversaw the endeavors for the National Capital Area as the Regional Development Officer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, building their board and DC office, overseeing all fundraising and public affairs and managing the successful execution of all events including the National Youth of the Year.
Stephanie completed the Washington D.C. Buckley to Burke regional fellowship for the National Review Institute (2019) and has received professional certification through Cornell University in Public Relations and Crisis Communications (2022) as well as a certificate of Strategic Management from Georgetown University (2024). She is a
graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Degree in behavioral science and law and attended through the school of music as a full opera performance scholar. Steph served as a member of the board of Trustees for the Mclean School of Potomac Maryland, as well as the Guild Chair for the Christ Child Society of Washington, D.C. She previously served on the board of the Children’s National Medical Center for the Hearing and Speech Development Clinic and as a trustee for The National Child Research Center. She resides in Bethesda, Maryland with her three teenage sons and Sean Connery, the family golden-doodle.
Steph is a proud alumnus of the Miss America program having received titles including Miss Wisconsin Central (1998), Miss Madison (1999) and First Runner Up at Miss Wisconsin America (1999). Stephanie ran on a platform to encourage a society of volunteerism and performed operatic music as her pageantry talent.
Alivia Roberts was crowned Miss District of Columbia 2022 and competed at the 2023 Miss America competition where she was named the top national scholarship fundraiser. Prior to moving to DC in 2018, she graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. In 2020, as a Wolcott Fellow and Pi Alpha Alpha inductee, Alivia earned a Master of Public Administration and Certificate in Nonprofit Management from The George Washington University. Alivia currently serves as Director of Federal Affairs at The Motion Picture Association. Enroute to her present position, she previously worked as an Aide in the Office of Vice-President of the United States, as Special Assistant to the Director of Public Affairs and as Deputy White House Liaison for the U.S. Department of Justice, as Deputy Press Secretary/Press Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, and as a Paid Media Associate for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Campaign. Alivia volunteers as a member of the Mississippi Society of Washington, DC's board, Junior League of Washington, Kappa Delta's Chapter Advisory Board, among many others. Alivia became a published author writing "Leaping Into Your Destiny for Rising 7th Graders."
Allyn Rose is a renowned breast cancer advocate, non-profit founder and preventive healthcare educator.
Rose made headlines across the globe as a Miss America contestant after making the bold decision to undergo a prophylactic double mastectomy at just 24-years-old. This choice followed the heartbreaking loss of her mother, grandmother, and great aunt to breast cancer. Her story was featured on major platforms including Good Morning America, The Today Show, Katie Couric, Inside Edition and was chosen as a Chris Wallace’s FOX Power Player of the Week. Allyn’s advocacy has earned her accolades like the Congressional “Women’s Health Advocacy Award” and the “Lifetime Achievement Award.” She also delivered a powerful TED Talk at Chapman University’s groundbreaking “ICONS | GENIUSES | MAVERICKS” event.
Recently, she boldly became the first woman with a mastectomy to model for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Shawnda joins Fundraising Inc as the Fundraising and Product Services Manager. She is a native Missourian and earned her B.A. in political science with minors in philosophy and business administration from Maryville University in Town and Country, Missouri.
Shawnda has had a passion for politics and the conservative agenda since she was a young girl. She received her first start in the political field after accepting a position interning for Vice President Mike Pence, working in his Speechwriting Department and Public Liaison Department. After her time at the White House, she has gained experience in several avenues within the political environment. First, as the Community Outreach Coordinator on a re-election campaign for a Missouri Member of Congress. In that role, she coordinated community outreach efforts and programs throughout the district. After completing a successful election cycle, she moved to Washington D.C. and accepted a position on Capitol Hill working for another member of the Missouri delegation in their congressional office.
From the Hill, Shawnda went on to work at the Republican National Committee where she served as the Director for the Office of The Chief Operating Officer in Chairwoman McDaniel's office. Most recently, Shawnda served as an Associate for Axiom Strategies where she worked on developing political strategies for Campaigns and Super PACs in NV, GA, FL, WI, NE, and OK
